Introduction to Welding Robot: What are the safety precautions for welding robot operation

Welding robotic arm is an automated processing equipment that helps with the welding process by moving a robot on a workpiece. It is considered a highly efficient machine and is widely used in the welding industry. The safety operation precautions for welding robots are divided into different stages. Before teaching operations, it is necessary to manually operate the welding robot, confirm whether there are any abnormal sounds or abnormalities, and confirm that the power supply to the same server of the robot can be cut off correctly. Let’s take a look at the specific introduction of welding robots and the precautions for safe operation of welding robots in the article!

Introduction to Welding Robot

The welding industry has many equipment and technologies to assist in this process. There are welding robots, welding displacement machines, rotators, etc. Among them, welding robots are considered to be highly efficient machinery, and they are widely used in the welding industry. So what is the specific introduction to welding robots?

A prototype robotic arm is an automated processing equipment that helps with the welding process by moving a welding machine on a workpiece. Welding robots are only a part of the welding field. The welding robot manufacturing goal is to move the welding head closer to the workpiece, which will allow you to reach the parts and areas that can be reached by highly skilled welders. In short, it enables and enhances the improvement ability of welders, making them closer to the workpiece or parts to be welded.

What are the precautions for safe operation of welding robots

1. Before putting the power supply into use, please confirm the following:

(1) Is there any damage to the safety fence

(2) Whether to wear work clothes as required.

(3) Are protective equipment (such as safety helmets, safety shoes, etc.) prepared

(4) Is there any damage to the robot body, control box, and control cable

(5) Is there any damage to the welding machine and welding cable

(6) Is there any damage to the safety devices (emergency stop, safety pins, wiring, etc.)

2. Before teaching homework, pay attention to the following:

(1) Manually operate the welding robot and confirm if there are any abnormal sounds or abnormalities

(2) Press the emergency stop button in the servo power supply state to confirm whether the servo power supply of the robot can be cut off correctly

(3) Release the lever switch on the back of the teaching box while the servo power is on, and confirm that the robot servo power can be cut off correctly.

4.During the teaching operation, please pay attention to the following:

(1) When teaching operations, the operating site should ensure that operators can avoid the robot’s movement range in a timely manner.

(2) When operating a robot, please try to face the robot as much as possible (keep your gaze away from the robot).

(3) When not operating a robot, try to avoid standing within the robot’s range of motion.

(4) When not operating the robot, press the emergency stop button to stop the robot. (5) When equipped with safety measures such as safety fences, it is necessary to be accompanied by assisting monitoring personnel. When the monitoring personnel are not present, avoid operating therobot.
