Four exhibitions. Three cities. Nineteen days. Between September 8 and September 20, 2026, Maven Laser Automation Co., Ltd. exhibited at the Shenzhen International Jewelry Fair, the 74th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, the 27th China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE), and the 2026 Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. All four events have now closed successfully.

The four shows covered two different sides of laser manufacturing with one shared demand. On one side were jewelry laser welding, automatic chain welding and clasp assembly for gold and silver jewelry production. On the other side were industrial laser applications, where the laser mold texturing machine took the center stage. Across nineteen days, our team met jewelry manufacturers, chain factories, clasp suppliers, mold makers, tool shops, trading companies and technical partners from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.

Quick answer: Maven Laser took part in four international exhibitions in September 2026. They were the Shenzhen International Jewelry Fair (Sep 9 to 12, Hall 1, Booth 1J114 and 1J112), the 74th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair (Sep 8 to 12, Hall 4, Booth 214, Z16 and Z18), the 27th China International Optoelectronic Exposition CIOE (Sep 9 to 11, Booth 2A026), and the 2026 Hong Kong International Jewellery Show (Sep 16 to 20, Booth 5E323). Equipment presented included jewelry laser welding machines, fiber laser chain welding machines, jewelry lobster lock and fish lock full line automatic making machines, 2.5D visual laser engraving machines, and laser mold texturing machines.

01 – Shenzhen International Jewelry Fair (Home Base Show)

Sep 9 to 12, 2026 | Hall 1, Booth 1J114 and 1J112 | Shenzhen, China

Shenzhen is where the jewelry supply chain of southern China is concentrated, and the Shenzhen International Jewelry Fair is our home-base event. Instead of a static product display, the booth in Hall 1 was arranged as a small working jewelry workshop. Every machine on the stand was connected, running, and open for hands-on testing.

The jewelry laser welding machine with CCD camera and microscope attracted the longest queue of the four days. Visitors used the microscope to align fine welding wire on chain links, ring shanks, prongs and clasps, then welded gold, 925 silver, platinum and stainless steel parts on the spot. Because the laser puts very little heat into the workpiece, thin and hollow jewelry can be repaired and resized without deformation, annealing marks or discoloration of stones and finishes. Buyers brought their own samples, including stone-set rings and hollow bangles, and tested them directly on the machine.

The fiber laser chain welding machine handled a different problem. Chain making generates a large number of joints, and manual soldering of every link limits both output and consistency. The chain welding machine feeds and welds gold and silver chains continuously, giving a uniform weld on every link and reducing the reliance on experienced soldering hands.

For clasp production, we showed the jewelry lobster lock and fish lock full line automatic making machine. Clasp assembly is one of the most labor-intensive steps in jewelry production, and the automatic line covers parts feeding, oriented assembly, riveting and output in one continuous cycle. With the 2.5D Plus visual laser engraving machine, operators demonstrated CCD visual positioning and continuous rotary marking for logos, hallmarks and patterns on flat, curved and cylindrical surfaces.

02 – 74th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair (Overseas Show via Agent)

Sep 8 to 12, 2026 | Hall 4, Booth 214, Z16 and Z18 | Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is one of the world’s major colored stone and gold jewelry hubs, and the 74th edition of the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair is the region’s most important sourcing event. Maven Laser joined through our Thailand agent in a joint booth, together with a local service and training network that already covers Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

The questions from Thai visitors were practical and specific. Gold jewelry producers wanted to know whether laser welding can join gold without solder and without changing the color of the joint. Workshop owners asked how small a machine can be. Trading companies asked about spare parts and response time. Our answers on the stand were supported by equipment that was available for testing:

  • Jewelry laser welding machine with CCD screen – a large display was used to show the weld area and welding parameters, so operators can set up a job without working from a small eyepiece alone.
  • 2.5D portable jewelry laser welding machine – a benchtop unit for small and medium jewelry workshops. It takes up very little floor space, needs no separate air compressor, and can be moved between workstations.
  • Enclosed jewelry laser engraving machine – CCD auto focusing and enclosed working area for marking and deep engraving on gold and silver jewelry.

What stood out on the Thai market was the balance between tradition and automation. Many workshops still rely on highly skilled hand work, and they are not looking to replace that skill. They are looking for equipment that removes the repetitive, high-risk steps – joints that crack, parts that deform under heat – while keeping the craft value of the final product. That is exactly the direction our jewelry laser welding and engraving equipment was developed for.

03 – 27th CIOE: Where the Industrial Laser Business Was Shown

Sep 9 to 11, 2026 | Booth 2A026 | Shenzhen, China

The China International Optoelectronic Exposition is not a jewelry show, and that was the point. At Booth 2A026, Maven Laser presented the industrial side of our laser portfolio, with the laser mold texturing machine as the centerpiece. The 27th edition ran with two other major shows in the same period, so the visitor flow included a very high proportion of engineers, tool and die makers and technical decision makers.

Mold texturing is the process that gives a molded plastic part its final surface appearance – wood grain, leather grain, brushed metal, geometric patterns, fine matte or gloss effects. Traditionally this is done by chemical etching, which means acid baths, masking and photoresist workflow, waste water treatment, and a new mask for every design change. The 3D laser mold texturing machine replaces that workflow with a digital one: the texture is prepared as a 3D file, and the laser engraves it directly onto the mold cavity.

Visitors responded to three advantages in particular:

  • Design changes without new tooling – a new texture file can be engraved on the same mold, which shortens prototyping cycles for automotive interior parts, home appliances, consumer electronics and packaging.
  • Complex 3D surfaces – laser texturing follows curved, deep and multi-face cavities where masking and etching become unreliable.
  • Environmental compliance – no acid, no waste water and no chemical disposal, which matters for mold shops facing tightening environmental requirements.

Several mold factories came to the booth with a specific part in hand and left with a measurement plan for a texture sample. Automotive interior mold makers, appliance mold suppliers, 3C electronics tooling teams and R and D engineers were the main visitor groups.

04 – 2026 Hong Kong International Jewellery Show (Overseas Show via Agent)

Sep 16 to 20, 2026 | Booth 5E323 | Hong Kong, China

September’s jewelry calendar closes in Hong Kong. Maven Laser joined the 2026 Hong Kong International Jewellery Show through our Hong Kong partner in a joint booth, and this time the focus was placed almost entirely on one product family: the jewelry lobster lock and fish lock full line automatic making machines.

The machine on the stand ran the complete assembly cycle inside a full enclosure – parts feeding, oriented placement, riveting and output – and visitors could watch the entire process from the feeding end to the finished clasp. That transparency was the strongest sales argument of the week. Buyers who assemble clasps by hand immediately understood what the machine changes: the riveting force is identical on every piece, the cycle time does not depend on how tired the operator is, and one operator can look after more than one line at the same time.

Clasp assembly sits at the end of a long and expensive production chain. A lobster lock or a fish lock that is assembled out of tolerance will be rejected at the final inspection, after the gold or silver has already been formed, polished and finished. Automating this step therefore protects the value that has already been added upstream. For factories running large volumes of gold and silver clasps, the payback case is driven by labor availability as much as by output.

Visitors at the Hong Kong show were largely international: brand sourcing teams, trading companies and manufacturers from Hong Kong, mainland China, Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Middle East. The timing of the show made it a natural sourcing window before the fourth quarter and before production planning for the following year, so a large share of the conversations moved directly into sample testing and quotation requests.

What These Four Exhibitions Told Us About Jewelry Manufacturing in 2026

Four exhibitions in nineteen days give a clear picture of what manufacturers are actually planning. The same themes came up in Shenzhen, Bangkok and Hong Kong, and they were confirmed again by industrial visitors at CIOE.

1. Automation is now a labor question, not only a capacity question

Very few buyers asked us to double output. Most asked how to keep production stable when experienced operators are difficult to hire and difficult to keep. That is why demand is moving from single machines toward equipment that replaces an entire repetitive step, such as the automatic lobster lock and fish lock line.

2. High material prices are pushing buyers to reduce losses

With gold trading at historically high levels, every gram that is scrapped, reworked or rejected has a direct cost. Laser welding helps here for a simple reason: the heat input is localized and controlled, so thin, hollow and stone-set jewelry can be repaired without deforming the piece or damaging the setting. Buyers now calculate welding equipment against material savings, not only against labor savings.

3. Precision and repeatability now matter more than raw speed

For fine jewelry, a fast machine that produces two rejects out of ten is more expensive than a slower machine that produces none. Consistency of the weld, of the riveting force and of the engraved depth is what customers test at the booth, and it is what they ask to verify with their own samples.

4. Small batches and frequent changeover are the new normal

Product variety keeps growing while batch sizes keep shrinking. Equipment therefore has to support quick changeover: digital files instead of new tooling, visual positioning instead of dedicated fixtures, and short setup time for a new part.

5. Environmental requirements are accelerating the shift away from chemical etching

At CIOE, the strongest interest in laser mold texturing came from mold shops that are under pressure to reduce acid use and waste water. Once a texture can be produced digitally on a 3D surface, chemical etching stops being the default choice for prototypes and for design changes.

6. After-sales support is evaluated before the price is discussed

International buyers are no longer asking only about the machine. They ask who installs it, who trains the operators, how spare parts are supplied and how quickly a technical problem is answered. This is why our agent and service network in Thailand and Hong Kong was such an important part of the story at the two overseas shows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which laser welding machine is suitable for gold and silver jewelry repair?

For repair and resizing work, a jewelry laser welding machine with a microscope or a CCD camera is normally the right choice, because the operator needs to see fine details such as prongs, chain links and thin walls. The machine should be able to weld gold, 925 silver, platinum and stainless steel without changing the color of the joint, and it should keep heat input low enough to protect stones and surface finishes. Send us your samples and the welding result can be verified before you decide.

Can jewelry chains be welded automatically instead of by hand?

Yes. A fiber laser chain welding machine feeds the chain and welds the links continuously, which removes the manual soldering step from chain production. The practical result is consistent weld quality on every link and much less dependence on skilled soldering operators. Welding parameters depend on the chain type, wire diameter and material, so final settings are confirmed with sample chains during testing.

What does a lobster lock and fish lock automatic making machine do?

It assembles jewelry clasps automatically. Parts are fed into the machine, oriented, positioned and riveted in a continuous cycle, and finished lobster locks or fish locks come out at the output end. Compared with manual assembly, the riveting force is identical on every piece and the output does not depend on operator experience, which reduces rejects at final inspection. The automatic line is normally configured around the specific clasp design used by the customer.

What is laser mold texturing and can it replace chemical etching?

Laser mold texturing engraves a surface texture directly onto a mold cavity using a digital 3D file, so no new mask and no acid bath are required. It can produce wood grain, leather grain, geometric patterns, brushed and matte effects on curved or complex 3D surfaces. For prototyping, design changes and molds with complicated geometry, it replaces the chemical etching workflow and eliminates waste water and chemical disposal. In high volume production, etching and laser texturing are often combined, with the texture that matters most produced by laser.

Do you provide overseas installation, training and after-sales service?

Yes. Maven Laser supplies equipment with on-site installation and operator training where required, and we work with local agents and service partners in several markets, including Thailand and Hong Kong, so that technical support and spare parts are available close to the customer. Overseas customers also receive remote support for parameter setting and troubleshooting.

How can I get a quotation or test my samples?

Send us your sample parts, drawings or product photos together with your production target, and our engineers will recommend the suitable machine and process settings. Sample testing and video demonstrations can be arranged before a quotation is finalized, and factory visits are welcome at any time.
